Schalk is a practicing Tax Attorney with 14 years of experience in tax law. His specialty is tax dispute resolution, the Tax Administration Act, VAT Act, ETI Act, and Income Tax Disputes as well as tax debt and dispute settlements. With his partner Eddie Sellner, who has 17 years’ experience working for SARS and Dr Erasmus who is a renowned international tax law expert, they have proven to obtain expedited, practical, and commercial results in tax disputes for clients.

Schalk is co-authoring a book on the Tax Administration Act with Prof. Dr. Daniel Erasmus. Schalk lectures in tax law at IITF and is also completing his Doctorate in Tax and Constitutional Law at Nelson Mandela University. He loves golf, running, spending time with friends and reading. He adores his wife Landi and daughters, Anabelle and Amika.
